Data List - Sales Data Pro vs List Shack vs Others

I tried both unlimitedmailinglist and salesdatapro. Salesdatapro was a little better than unlimited but both of them had a substantial amount of disconnected and wrong numbers. I'm lucky if I get one good number out of 36 numbers per excel spreadsheet I'm still searching for a new source.

Any word on a new company?

The real challenge with any budget solution is that it's going to be at the mercy of what's available. John Spangler is involved/owns/whatever SalesDataPro.com and we (ListShack) have sold them data for years. There are ways to try to clean data up in bulk, but fundamentally the task of maintaining accuracy is very difficult. That's partially why InfoGroup was able to succeed in their lawsuit against InfoFree; InfoGroup successfully argued that their tremendous investments in having the most accurate data were important enough to warrant protection.

Depending on the year, with the ListShack data, we've done NCOA scrubs and things like that and it helps, especially if we didn't resell the scrubbed data in bulk, but the real trick would be to partner with a call center and/or provide an interface that allows for users to report bad data as a feedback loop so this way the data is constantly getting pruned with updates. Until that's done, it'll be really hit and miss with any budget providers.

Josh I was with you/listshack for about five years. I noticed it was going bad last February. What actually happened?

First, I really appreciate you being with us for five years! I was really surprised at how long we've kept customers. A few years ago I hired Jared who took the phone calls and after that I very rarely talked to any customers, but I certainly see the active users lists!

Around the middle of last year I started having some health issues which resulted in my appointing a friend of mine as on officer in the company so he could handle some of the accounting issues we were having. It appears that his way of "helping" was to help himself to a fairly significant amount of money and attempt to steal the business from me. The police are actively investigating it and I've been working with attorneys on resolving the outstanding issues. Until that's all cleared out, all ListShack.com signups have been disabled. ListShackPro.com also has all signups disabled. Neither websites have active users. If anyone has signed up for "List Shack" in the last few months (starting around October I believe), they may have an account at ListShack.support which is an unauthorized clone of ListShack.com that the previously mentioned gentleman used to profit off of my intellectual property.

My best estimate for when ListShack.com and ListShackPro.com will be back up is late this summer.

I've had conversations with you and Jared. When I brought my problems to your attention you both were very attentive. You and Jared did everything to take care of me. I hated to see listshack die.

I signed up for List Shack but never got to use it. Their platform wouldn't download the emails. I would suggest asking for a trial account to make sure it works. I worked with one of their techs for way over 2 hours trying to get it to work. Time wasted. They don't even do a screen share to help with the problem, it was all by chat and then over the phone. Getting hold of someone to help was also a hassle. Their service leaves a lot to be desired when you have problems. Fortunately, because I was able to finally get in touch with a tech, and he saw all the trouble I was having he got me a refund.

Wyatt Grantham stole List Shack and charged hundreds of customers totalling hundreds of thousands of dollars, without their permission.

If you have any issues with ListShack, please feel free to reach out to groberts@rqn.com, who is the attorney defending Wyatt Grantham against the civil suit. Additionally, the Provo, UT police department and Utah County Attorneys office are investigating under case number 20pr17316.

As the founder of List Shack, I am disgusted with how that turned out. This has been an ongoing effort for over a year.

As note, I have relocated my business to YourListStore.com and would recommend anyone doing business with List Shack, meaning Lord Abbey, LLC d.b.a. ListShack.com, d.b.a. ListShackPro.com, cancel their credit cards and contact the police.
