Disability Coverage

Any one recommend a good disability carrier? Just spoke with a client who is looking for 6,000 / mo disability coverage. 44 yrs old Earns 160k per yr. engineer. Currently has 6,000 mo coverage (2 yr benefit) Says he is paying 1,100 per yr. He is looking to replace with possible longer benefit term. Also looking for 1m life coverage. I know nothing about this as I have only sold life for the last three years. How would be the best way to handle this?

There are several excellent carriers. For White Collar, probably your bet bet is Guardian/Berkshire. For Blue and Grey Collar, there is Assurity and Illinois Mutual. As was stated in a prior post you should check the disability forum for a more in depth answer.
