DSNP members cannot switch plans outside of AEP and OEP in 2025

I just completed the the UHC fastrack certification and it says that Dual Eligibles on original medicare can enroll in PDP or fully integrated DSNP monthly but they can't switch plans.They can't enroll in to an MA or non fully integrated DSNP at all outside of AEP and OEP

what's the difference between a fully integrated dsnp and non-fully integrated dsnp? i thought they would be able to change plans monthly..

fully integrated is like the UHC Dual complete HMO/PPO in Florida and many other states where UHC manages both the medicare and medicaid.These are the "regular" DSNP that agents enroll consumers in.Some states have DSNP that consumers have to call the state medicaid choice counselor line to enroll in a plan or else they are auto enrolled .

Thats what i said at first and tons of podcast said they can move monthly .

Yeah looks like the type of DSNP plan that agents enroll consumers in are locked in outside of AEP and OEP like everybody else.

With that said they are predicting a very active hurricane season this summer so we will probably have FEMA SEP all next year again in Florida
