For those of you that use appointment setters, what are your expectations or requirements to keep an appointment setter on the payroll?

1. Percentage of appointments to a. Direct mail leads and b. telemarketed or avatar leads?
2. Days out for appointment scheduling: next day only, next two days only, whatever I can get.
3. Notification of inability to call for a day
4.No shows or won't let you in the door, pay, replace or?
5.Pay schedule: end of the week for what appointments you sat or? Hourly or per appointment?
6. Use Gmail Calendar or?
7. If they say they are unemployed, still set the appointment?
8. Call to confirm long distance (1.5 hours away or more) ?

1. 50% of dm leads is a keeper. 35-40%ish might be average? Not sure about tm. 2. Next day only exception is Saturday for Monday. 3. Maybe two days before would be ideal so you could make other arrangements for the day before. I've had to dump a couple though for finding out the day of that they didn't call because something came up (repeat offender). As others have said, setters will never treat your leads as seriously as you would so keep that in mind. 4. Only pay for sits. Way too much gray area paying for every appointment imho unless you pay dirt cheap on per appt. basis. 5. End of week per sit. 6. Get schedule emailed to me the night before 7. Never had them ask about a prospect's employment, but that's not on the setter regardless. Chalk that one up and move along. 8. Don't drive that far UNLESS I have a handful of appointments in that area. I never call before.

A quality appointment setter is hard to find, but once you do a great contribution to increasing sales numbers. And if you do find one pray she doesn't get marketed to by everyone and their mother because if so she'll cream ya a good one lol.

Even better, be a part of a team that uses their own setters and you'll be golden all the way around!

It all comes down to the area being called. Every place is different and some are Night and Day with what works.
