FE with UHL 2 Turned Down

MoO guaranteed issue would be the best deal for both.

$10,000 for the 78 year old, $98/mo. For the 73 year old, $69/mo.

They can sign up direct at; 1-800-801-5207

They get a better deal if they go thru an agent, though.

I did not know Moo offered a guaranteed issue W/L !!
Thanks for the info!

They do. And they have the best rates I've seen. They won't let independent agents sell it anymore. I have a friend that used to be captive with them and they still let him write it.

If they sign up direct with the company, it's ROP plus 10% for the first 2 years. It's always 100% of face in case of accidental death.

If they buy from an agent, the rates are the same, but instead of ROP plus 10%, it's ROP plus 20%.

I have no problem reccomending it when a client needs GI. Even though I don't make anything on it, it always seems to come back around when I refer someone to my friend that can write it.

I had the same problem..... Columbia Mutual will take her. It's a true guaranteed issue 3 year graded..

78 female 2k $29.33 5k $67.12 10k $130.12 25k $319.12
73 Female 2k $22.45 25k $233.10

Regardless if agents think it is a pain in the butt or not, by simply doing the phone interview you will know if you have a deal or not..

Well, I've personal read the underwriting guide and agent guide and the app, and the agent should have known better then to send someone in on oxygen. Hell most companies graded products are no longer taken people on oxygen.

If a person is an oral diabetic, UHL will take them. If they take a shot of insulin, then you won't get the term an should look at the Deluxe Whole Life Product, which is not graded.

I highly recommend that every agent takes the time to read the companies agent guide, underwriting guide and when you not sure call an underwriter. It will save you a lot of time.

All good suggestions. Yes I did a phone interview on each lady...was told it would go thru further underwriting for consideration. I'm new at this...so I will use this as a stepping stone...thanks!

What is not right, MOST IMO'S notice I said most do not care about their agents and just throw them up aganist the wall and say "It is the agent's sole responsibility" to understand underwriting guidelines. It sounds like that is what happened. Now the above memeber did say they completed the phone interview but the underwriter said something to the tune of more information is needed for an underwriting decision.

Once I left my orginal captive position with an agency, and went independent no one told me to read underwriting guidelines but I also knew to do that since I was experienced. Maybe it is a case of being unexperienced, and this is just part of the learning curve.
