Feb 1 St Effective Date Off-exchange

Can a client still get an effective date off the exchange for february 1st or can they pick a date in January in the future. Or is neither possible and they have to wait til March 1st.

Sam, as you can see at our state's colored company quote site, March 1st is the ONLY date available. Gone are the days of clicking the drop-down box, or simply entering the date you desire.

This prevents people from signing up for an ACA plan in the back of the ambulance. However, Medicaid-eligible patients can sign up and get 3 months of medical bills paid retroactively.

Assurant has a Feb 15th effective date. I think Aetna has the same capability.

Aetna is only the 1st of each month now. I see at Aetna.com only Feb 1st/March1st/April1st as the choices.
