I have mostly been focusing on health insurance since I got my license, but I had someone ask me about FE, and of course it's a case beyond my limited scope. He lives in MA, and wants to take out a policy on his mother in WA. She is in a nursing home, double mast, COPD, seizures. Is there anyone that will put a policy on her?

Kemper, Vantis and Gerber have true Guaranteed Issue policies....no health questions.

I do not know the answer to your question. However, I believe Washington has a $25,000 minimum face on Life Insurance. GI may be different.
 
Would that matter if the owner of the policy was in Massachusetts? Is it based off the insurer or the insured state of residence?
 
If I was presented with this client, I would move on to the next one. while your spinning your wheels on that one you could be writing three others. I believe starting out you will be much further ahead by focusing on a specific target.


Figure out what you want to sell and then focus on that area. just my 2 cents

I agree. I would tell him to contact a funeral home in the state that she's in and move on.
 
While I do not chase dead ends. If a client ask me to find something for them I try. I am in the middle of one my busiest Decembers. I have apps going in six states right now. Every case is from referral not one out bound sales call. Because I take care of business for my clients.
