"For your convenience, we have arranged for an independent insurance agency to help you find a solution. To learn more, click below (you will be transferred to another site)."

Then you click the link (reproduced below). Go ahead. click it. It takes you to a GR page. Then CLICK the link where it says GET A QUOTE. Remember, this is THE GR site. People are going there to get a quote FROM GR (I guess).

UnitedHealthcare

Guess where it goes?
:swoon:

For all of you GR lovers out there, isn't it bad enough that you have to constantly compete with their own stinking little website, incessant google ad purchasing, and in-house telemarketing? :nah:

But those idiots are actually sending new clients TO E-HEALTH!

(FYI, G/R was one of the original "seed" contributors to EH.)

Conflict of interest anyone?
:skeptical:

I'd be piping hot mad --IF I were a GR agent of course

Why does this upset you? Assurant drives consumers to their site: Health Insurance Plans from Assurant Health - people fill out the online app and it's a house deal - cuts the agent out of the picture.

Doesn't upset ME at all.
I would think it would upset virtually any GR agent.

Do you not see/understand the difference?

GR is taking people FROM THEIR site and directing them to an AGENT'S site (ehealth).

It's one thing for a company to keep in-house business. It's another thing when they are blatantly promoting one agent/agency over another.

Especially when that agency is ehealth. The scourge of internet health insurance brokers. The antithesis of professional agencies.

Shall I continue?

I guess that is limited to states where GR does not do business, but still strange as they should be linking to one of the UHC sister companies that do business in those states.

That link is for Nevada, which has not been "officially" launched by GR. I don't blame them for acting as an affiliate to ehealth if they don't sell there. They're getting some kind of spiff or benefit.

Try that one with Florida. GR's inside sales dept will be like white on rice calling you. You should get appointed in Nevada as they look to be very competitive there.

They are probably taking agents commission and an overide for it. They do it here in WA too and it's exactly the same individual health website I use with other characters. So basically they are acting as joe agent.

PRECISELY.

And for those of you who don't see a problem with that, God help ya.

You probably support Obama too :twitchy:
