Garden State Life??

I've a friend purchased Garden State life insurance for their family. A 75k term convertible to 25k permanent. Has anyone had any dealing with this company?
By the way I think American National has purchased Garden State.

Yes, ANTEX owns Garden State. It is sold through the mail I believe. Incredibly overpriced I am sure.
