How far are you into the AI learning curve?

While Chat GPT seems suspicious of your statement of never using it, it does seem to indicate you may not because it doesn't apparently consider insurance as professional as real estate and finance

Mark has used it while in a fugue state . . . which explains why he says he has never used it.

AI can be great for research as long as the user has a good understanding of the topic. I use it to help write titles, descriptions, and keyword phrases . . . but I find a number of errors in the description content that requires human editing.

Another concern about using AI for sales/marketing content is the lack of human emotion. A number of articles have mentioned this. Perhaps newer AI models have learned how to generate emotions.

Half of the carriers only got eApps and accept docusign because of Covid.

Covid was the greatest thing that ever happened to an online/phone agent.

Yup.

A company asked me to handle a claim by email. I asked for a policy stat on the husbands policy and details of the spouse rider by email. I text the 65 yr old and set up a phone meeting. My calendar prompted me of the call, I pressed the link and my phone dialed and her voice came over my car speakers as my nav guided me to my destination and my smart cruise control kept me between the lines and a safe distance from the car ahead.

So on the day of the F2F my phone woke me, my news feeds brought up videos I would find interesting. I grabbed a cup for the road and my Surface Pro bag. No apps, no illustrations, no brochures, no maps. I pressed the address on the calendar app and nav routed me three hours away. On the fly I told my car to reroute via I5 so I can drive a little faster as I am streaming music with lyrics, I5 karaoke.

I ask my car for the nearest gas and breakfast, it routes me there. I text her ETA updates via voice to text.

I walk in with one little satchel and my Samsung 25 in my pocket. We go over options and the non contestable conversion. I do the fillable app, she signed with my stylus. I took scans of her and daughter's IDs and a void check for the auto draft. ask my car to find me some fried chicken on the way home. Uploaded the app and sent them summary emails as I ate my cobbler.

Yeah man, the good old days weren't as easy as we remember them.

Different lines of coverage may have delayed introducing e-apps until the plague, but I have done online Medigap apps since 2010, and the same for major med (prior to Obamacare) since the late 1990's.

Not all that techy. But lately I have been able to handle all my companies apps through my Galaxy S23 Ultra. I've ditched my tablet and am running much lighter. Shout out to another agent to introduced me to using my phone in the field for more than just a hot spot.

As to AI... I'm not sure the FE field is going to be a place for top performance. I'm still running into folks who don't use email. :nah:
