Gestational Diabetes?

I have a couple that recently attempted to go through BCBS and was denied for gestational diabetes during her pregnancy 3 years ago. She has never been on meds or had any complications/doctors visits regarding this since the pregnancy.

What are their options?

I am a Med Sup. guy looking to help a few friends.

Some questions you should ask are:
What is her height and weight?
Is she still in child-bearing years, and/or has she had a surgical treatment to prevent pregnancy in the future?

The reason for these questions is that gestational diabetes often returns in future pregnancies, and it is sometimes a precursor to full diabetes.

What state are you in? An agent in your state could give you more guidance on carriers that may be liberal in this area.
