The Senate today passed the 21st Century Cures Act, a comprehensive health care bill including a provision to once again allow small business owners to provide Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) to help their employees pay for health insurance.
The House approved the bill last week and President Obama is expected to sign the measure into law before he leaves office.

HRAs reinstated by the Cures Act allow a small employer (up to 50 employees) provide up to $4,950 per year for individual workers who show they have individual coverage, and up to $10,000 per year for workers who show they have family coverage. The contribution cap will be indexed for inflation.
