Hello from Chattanooga, TN

Hi Everyone

I am new to insurance sales and would really appreciate any advice. I worked for Blue Cross for 13 as claim/ service sup and in their provider contracting area before I decided to leave and try something on my own. I am mainly interested in selling LTC insurance, but am also selling life and health. I am studying to take P&C exam now also.

As I am new to this, so naturally not making alot of money yet...(hopeful). Just curious if anyone knows of any companies who contract people to take local photos for ins companies? I've seen something about this on the internet and as I am into photography anyway, thought it might be a way to supplement income while I try to build a business.. Any thoughts would be appreciated...

Also, anyone locally willing to mentor a newbie? Would greatly apprece. Anyway..look forward to talking with you all.

Hi! I do live in the area or know of any ins. photography jobs but I do want to say hello and welcome! If you need answers you came to thr write place. Someone in this forum will be able to help you and give you the info you need! Welcome to the sales side of the business too!!

Additionally, people need health insurance. If they so desire they can fill out the form on my site and get a health insurance quote from reputable, well known companies. No mystery, no hoax, no gimmicks, just a reliable quote. Thanks for asking.

Hi! I lived in Chattanooga for several years, graduating from UTC. A lovely place, one of the most picturesque places I have lived.

If you want some sales training, I would suggest you contract with Continental Life of Brentwood, TN. Since you are not too far away, you can take advantage of their on-site training. They also offer American Continental and are subsidiaries of Genworth. You will have access to LTC, etc. as well.

Usually taking pictures for insurance companies in is the PC arena, properties (yet usually I imagine the agent does it with a point and shoot). You can always do vehicles involved in accidents, yet again I would think the agent would do that? I have heard of such things but really don't know of the process but I'm sure it goes thru agencies, PC agencies.

I would highly suggest if you want to learn to sell insurance, that LTCi is a bad place to start. Yet if you can sell LTCi you should be able to sell anything! It's just a tough sale and prospecting compared to Health or Life or even Disability for that matter, yet I'm sure others have varying opinions.
