I have gotten a notice that one of my insured clients is behind two premiums.. It is only since March that he began his policy..He did not cancel. How would I handle it? Call him?
I assume he got notice as well.
Thanks in advance!

Calling him would be where I would start.

Thanks.. Do you guys ever get this happening?

Happens all the time in the FE market. I just got two handled today. One was a person had typed in a wrong number on the account and the other was just not enough in the bank. The bad account number is being redrafted tonight. The not enough money is being redrafted on the 17th at the insured's request.

Both of these were drafts on May 5th and I found out on Sat. I can't imagine waiting 2 months to find out or try to save them.

How could the agent not know for 2 months?

I try to stop by if its convenient, if not call ASAP!! And as u get more & more policies on the books, be prepared for this monthly....I get most of mines taken care with no problem.

Yeah, how did u not know for 2mos? I get notices after like 10 days

If you check the websites everyday you get it in real time.

Except for 5 star who I don't think know they have a website. But they are good about emailing you right away with any issues. You just can't respond back to those emails lol.:1mad:

5 Star has a website but it's a bear to navigate. They will inform of missed payments within 10 days though. Sometimes sooner by email.

What all insurance companies should do on top of mailing it is send you an email right away. So far, I only had one bank draft issue but that is because RNA missed a 0 in the account...duh..and they redrafted the acct with no issues. They sent the email to me right away.

Make sure you handle these ASAP as many mentioned. I would also recommend stopping in and not even calling if you feel this client may let the policy go or based on prior conversations.
