I hope IFP agents stay far away from the medicare world. We have had years of training and you cant come in and think you know what we know.. better get your e and o.

FOR THE MOST PART:
A.) Seniors pick their Medicare plans based on price and benefits. Past and current health issues are balanced against premium and income to reach their final decision

B.) Non-Group Under-65 purchasers pick their health plans based on price and benefits. Past and current health issues are balanced against premium and income to reach their final decision.

With a few hours of training and reading the plan literature, someone who already has a background in either market could cross over to the other and actually work the Medicare and Under-65 market effectively.
