HIPPA Prerequisite to Certify- Another CMS Waste of Time?

A MAPD in Phoenix is requiring agents to pass this HIPPA (Physician and other electronic billing staff) before certifying. I think the MAPD is a SNP plan Phoenix Choice Plans previously ABRAVO.

The HIPPA requrement is new, but obviously irrelevant to agent sales.

Has anyone heard of this? I understand it's really hard.

Sometimes when carriers want to limit broker involvement they will set up hurdles, cut commissions, or both.

HIPAA is only irrelevant to agents sales until you lose a few applications at the fast food restaurant. It's one of those training modules you suck up and complete.
