Hiring an Appointment Setter. Questions?

Hello. Ok, so yes in order to hire someone to set appointments you should be very good at it yourself. Do you have a sample script that you are using now? Appointment setters are very successful and inexpensive way to get in the door. You theories on marketing yourself are correct but I do have to agree with some of the other posts here to say that if you are not really closing deals, spending money on appointments without a good closing ratio would be an expensive way to practice. Backround on me: I have built and run many call centers specializing in setting appointments for timeshares, vacation clubs, mortgage brokers, financial advisors, etc. Very expensive but productive route to go in. Good luck!

Having a "script" is only a very small portion of being a pro on the phone. I'm sure you already know that.

Hiring an appointment setter can be a very expensive, time consuming way of trying to sell insurance. One first has to define what constitutes a valid "appointment".

I sell Med Supps. If an appointment setter is only setting appointments for me to do a Medicare Review then my ROI is going to be extremely low. That doesn't constitute a "real" appointment to me.

A real appointment will be if the person has been qualified first. I want to know if I can save them money and have a good idea whether or not they are going to qualify. If I don't know that then it is most often going to be a waste of my time to go see them.
