Hiring an Appointment Setter. Questions?

Had a good day on the phones today and I have a meeting with my owner tomorrow to get more advice for setting appointments. I am not going to give up before I really try. I do not miss 12 hours on a car lot that much yet. 2-3 groups in June or bust.

It is what it is. Plenty of people will buy life insurance, but most of the ones that go looking for it already have both feet in the grave and the casket is closing.

What kind of script would I have them use? They do not work for my company so they could not say they are calling from such and such. Could they say calling on the behalf or something like that. Companies do this so I know its legal but I just want to hire a couple of college/part timers to free up more time for me to be out trying to sell. Plus I am not getting as many calls in as I need because of my part time job taking most of my day time calling hours. They would be paid per appointments set and nothing more. I am just lost on what kind of script to use.
It's going to be difficult to find someone that will work on those terms.

It's actually not that hard, the problem is that if you don't even know what script to use then it's difficult to inspire confidence in someone to work on a per appointment basis and keep them working because they will likely not be able to make even minimum wage.

Hello. Ok, so yes in order to hire someone to set appointments you should be very good at it yourself. Do you have a sample script that you are using now? Appointment setters are very successful and inexpensive way to get in the door. You theories on marketing yourself are correct but I do have to agree with some of the other posts here to say that if you are not really closing deals, spending money on appointments without a good closing ratio would be an expensive way to practice. Backround on me: I have built and run many call centers specializing in setting appointments for timeshares, vacation clubs, mortgage brokers, financial advisors, etc. Very expensive but productive route to go in. Good luck!

Random Question:

Why would I provide my honed and developed script for free to the competition?
