I don't look for groups but I have a 12 person group, all with Health Net HMO which just received a 20% increase for 1/1. Amazingly this is a chuch that is delighted to work with this atheist. I guess it gives them someone to pray about on Sunday.
Anyway, the only way to lower their premium is to go to another HMO with a $30 rather than the current $20 copay. But this will increase the hosptial costs from $250 x 3 days to 20%. Obviously if somone winds up in the hospital, they will hit the OOP for $3K.
Does anyone know of a hospital indeminty in CA that can cover part of this cost? Not an accident plan but a true "we pay you if you wind up in the hospital." Only need $500-750 a day.
