How Do You Know You've Read a Thread?

If I look at the forum on my old iPhone I could click on "New Posts" and see the new posts. On my new iPhone4s and my iPad that feature doesn't work.

On my Iphone I have to go into specific forums(Senior,Fight Club, General, ect.) to view threads because everytime I just click new posts it comes up with a vBulletin error. It never did that before...

Hi all,
When you see threads that you've read but the titles are still bold, that means there are new posts in that thread, which you still didn't read from your last visit.
I am working on the iPad issue and from what I've gathered so far, this only occurs at Apple devices which have iOS5 and latest Safari browser.
Could any of you try an alternative browser (say Opera) in your Apple devices and report back if you still receive the same error ?

Yes I can do that as soon as you guys give me the raise I was promised....
Honestly I have no idea how to switch browsers on my phone. I do know that it messed up after I did an update to my phone a month or two ago.
