is AXA any good?

Is AXA a good company? I know they are huge - are they really tough on U/W?

Can you sign up as an independent agent to write policies through them or do you have to work solely with/for them?

You can sign up through a GA. Their UL products are pretty strong, but I don't think they are very competitive with term.

I had an interview with AXA and liked them. AXA world headquarters is in Paris, France. Their local office seemed to work well together and the manager was very helpful and knowledgeable.

AXA took over Equitable Life of New York if my memory serves me right.
