Is There an Account and Routing Number for Direct Express? ?

Does anyone else see the irony in this...

Monumental, Americo and Oxford are three companies that pretty much have their act together on most things. But all three have declared that they will take the debit cards and all three have pulled back and said it's too complicated. Their top scientists are working on it.

Then you have 5-Star that is just now hoping to get their fax machine working dependably and little old Trinity Life that is barely on the map and they do what the top minds at the other companies can't figure out.

Just seems kind of funny to me.

Royal Arcanum and Liberty Bankers take DE. LB wants out and is working towards that goal with a large rate increase for DE and a nightmare of a POS

A DE card may look like a duck and talk like a duck, but its not a duck. It appears that Trinity and 5 Star figured that out. Everyone else it seems are trying to treat them like regular cards.

Assurity says they take them on e-apps, but behind the scenes they are screwing it up somehow.

The guy at Trinity told me that it is a completely different set up than just taking debit cards and credit cards. He said they failed at it until they learned that lesson.

Now they know how to set it up and they will only allow DE card business to be drafted on the 1-3 of the month or the 2W, 3W and 4 W. You can't chose any other draft dates for the DE card.

He is one of the few insurance company reps that I have ever spoken to that seems to actually understand the business of selling FE and the FE market.

Yep, there are some smart guys over there. I really liked their VP.

I agree, except for their POS. Almost every other company that does a POS can give pos approval over the phone. But from the way UW explained it to me if anything pops on the MIB or script check it gets referred to an underwriter.

When I called in and this was explained the underwriter glanced at the app/pos/MIB and immediately told me it would be approved. If he can look at it and right away know, then they should be able to implement that into the pos process.

I was talking about their ability to successfully use the DE card where others can't seem to grasp that.

I agree on the POS. I hate POS interviews and wish it was optional with all carriers but, if you are going to do one then there has to be an answer at the end.

The first 2 I did with Trinity they said it had to go for further underwriting. I wrote them on a Wed and I thought that really meant it was a decline. I didn't even fax the applications in for a few days because I thought it was just a formality. Turns out they were both approved.

Travis is supposed to be talking to them about that process.

I did one this week and was given an approval at the end of the call. I don't know if things are changing or if my client was just super healthy?

It was a bit of a difficult interview because the guy was very hard of hearing. He's a DE card payer or I wouldn't have used Trinity.

Something else Trinity does right on DE card payers. They only pay as earned on those.

I wish Trinity would make the POS optional. I prefer not to do them but if I have someone with a lot of meds or I'm uncertain they know what they have taken in the last several years I would like the POS for the RX check. Rather find something out while I'm there. Otherwise I fine letting it go through underwriting and get approved. No hurry, no worries here.
