I just got a job offer from Aflac but I'm not sure so many bad review, so my question is THE ANYBODY FROM NC HAVE ANYTHING NICE OR BAD TO SAY.

I would think there would be a reason for all the bad reviews. I've never worked for them but coming from those that I've talked to you hit on alot of businesses with you being one of 5 or 6 other agents that have hit on that same business for that week. To steal a line from the movie Taken...."Good Luck...." And you remember what happened to that guy. :twitchy:

Realize that it is not a job offer...it is a 1099 sales role and ask yourself if you are ready for that.

I came from AFLAC...would not take it back as it gave me the stomach for sales and prospecting.

The qualification to sell for AFLAC is to be breathing. There are better opportunities.

DON"T DO IT!!!!! You'll work your butt off and then all the District and Regional Managers will find a way to steal it from you. They're a bunch of snakes. There is a VERY LONG thread about Aflac on one of the other forums. Do a word search on it. It's not really a job. You're a 1099 and have zero rights, no base salary, no promise of income, etc. The work itself is very labor intensive in that you must go back to the business multiple times to persuade the decision maker and then to enroll any potential employees. Then, if the account has a broker attached to it, he may try to steal it from you and give it to someone he knows. I had a terrible experience, but it's not even the worst in my office by a long shot.

I suggest Combined Worksite over AFLAC. That's where I started. You'll get a starting salary. It used to be for 12 weeks. Not sure if that has changed.

You'll also get good training. The head of the Mid Atlantic division lives in Charlotte. Let me know if you want her number. I'm not a recruiter.

Why would anyone laugh? You listened to someone who probably was a friend and believed what they told you. At least , you learned enough to seek an outside opinion before making the same mistake again.
