Latest Enrollment Numbers by State

"Enrolled" in PPACA means that you clicked the button confirming your selection.

The number of those who obtain a policy will obviously be lower. Many of those are duplicates as people had issues, changed their minds, or managed to submit the same info multiple times.

If submission is due by 12/23, carriers have stated that bills go out "about 10 days after enrollment info is received", figure 2 days in mail, that's 1/4 or 1/5 (even later if you presume xmas eve, xmas, NYE, and New Years Day are in the middle and no one is working on those days). Payment must be received by the 10th, assuming 2 days in mail, that only gives you a little 3-4 day window to get your crap together and pay.

How many low-income people will have a few hundred spare dollars to spend the first week of January? Just one paycheck after x-mas, NYE parties, and rent was due?

I know the numbers on this for my state are not correct. Not sure how up to date these are. My carrier rep gave me a rough figure of their numbers and it was higher than what was on that list for NC.

Not quite sure what you mean by "leaders". They seem to be in the middle to me. I personally like this chart better, although it shows that the article you quoted is getting similar information.:)

I believe it was total enrollment, however we did not have many that were direct in when the marketplace was not working. According to him, we were not doing much on the direct side during that time. They will still holding everyone off until they could get the direct to enroll working (which hasn't happened yet). He said the numbers were climbing in bigger steps each day now.
