Does anyone know or have any feedback about Lighthouse Insurance Group? Insphere is one of their partners I believe? Interviewed with them and liked what I heard. Thanks.

Isn't Insphere a regurgitated Mega by product? I apologize if I'm off base.

That's what I heard in my research but LightHouse is spun off from them as an inbound call center that does health/term.

If you do a search on this forum you will find lots of information about Mega. If they are just a re-brand of this, I would treat lightly and ask the right questions...

Those questions being:

1. What is their release policy?
2. Do you have to assign commissions?
3. Is this product major medical or health insurance (yes, there is a difference)

Do some homework on what street level commissions are for the products you will be selling and then check what they want to pay you. I am guessing there is some type of leads offering in there somewhere...

Thanks for the feedback. It looks like Major Medical but they claim to offer regular health as well as Medicare on their site. I will investigate this further, and yes, commissions are split with the company if that's the same as "assigning."

Assigning commissions means you are allowing the carrier to pay the FMO your commissions, and then the FMO pays you.

The other way to go is direct, where the carrier cuts a check to you, bypassing the FMO. The FMO will still get their override or split, but they will only get their share, not yours.
