Looking for f2f upline

You basically just turned down Daytimer's production over nothing.

And Nick and I end up both mailing the same lead card to the same list through the same mail house (RGI) and as far as I can tell we only bumped into one another three times out of thousands of leads. There may some I'm not aware of but with almost 1,000,000 people in the two overlapping counties, I think there are plenty of opportunities for two guys.

And lets not pretend we don't also have agents from AIG, Synergy, FFL, Columbian, Old American, Lincoln Heritage, American Income Life, et. al. crawling all over the place.

You forgot Nasb, Ifg, Senior life, Senior select , American senior Benefit and on and on and on . Hard to believe anybody gets responses with so much mailings

For a guy who claims to sell so much you are the gloomiest most pessimistic salesman I've ever heard.

Would you like me to top off that half empty glass for you.

Maybe not. Actually looks half full to me.

It's up to you.

IMO, here's the flaw about this though....other IMO's are stacking the agents in the same territories. Just like Daytimer, he went somewhere else. He's still working the same area, but now you're missing the overrides.

You're not controlling the number of agents in a territory, you're only controlling if you get overrides or not. You basically just turned down Daytimer's production over nothing.
But the goal isn’t maximum over rides. If it was I would stack them high. The goal is to have a very unified team of agents who are not competing with each other and are highly productive. The agents become very good friends. No one is worried about someone getting their same leads. No one is getting their policies flipped by their buddies and all the in fighting that goes with that. Sure there’s outside competition but usually that’s going to be strangers who are usually untrained and often selling high priced companies.
In Daytimers case I know he’s friends with Nick who we have in his area. But Nick wants all the leads I can generate there. So while it’s not a perfect system, it works very well.

I'm just saying there are hundreds of agents in that area. You adding one more to that mix isn't going to interfere with Nick or anyone else that is already in the area. Many direct mailers, telemarketed leads, FB leads, etc going through there that you can't control. In fact, I bet there are so many that adding another agent in the area wouldn't be felt by any other agent there.

On the other hand, I do understand what you are attempting and why.

But unless RGi can support 2 agents in that area they won’t mail it . I know an area Newby mails with Rgi for an agent my friend gets Rgi leads from another IMO in the general area . I’m not saying the work the same county at the same time .

There are hundreds of agents everywhere. But the difference is they aren’t OUR agents.

Sure there are 100 agents working everywhere. But they aren’t MY agents. That’s the difference. If I bring 3-agents into the same area which is real easy to do, now I have three guys competing for the same customers. Agent 1 is going to get leads where agent 2 sold the 3-months ago so he wasted a lead if he’s a good guy or he pisses off agent 2 if he’s a bad guy. You end up putting out fires and playing psychologist all day.
My idea is wall to wall agents coving every county in a state. But one per area except for a few select areas I have multiples.
