I specialize mostly in med sups. I have a lot of clients recently asking me for and about LTC. I am new myself and not very familiar with the product. Just to familiarize myself more which carriers offer the best LTC products, along with lowest premiums in Florida? And are there any carriers that will offer LTC for over the age of 80? Thanks

Find an LTCI specialist close to you that is independent and experienced. Partner with that agent and split some deals and learn.

I agree with billberry but trying to find an LTCI specialist close to you that is independent and experienced may be a more daunting task then expected. And, finding a mentoring type may be even more difficult. This is where I would recommend joining your local NAIFA group and start attending the meetings. Get to know who is who and it should not take you very long to figure out the "go to" agents that will be willing to help you instead of waste your time.

does Florida require any special licensing/ed for LTC? Mine does. Start there. Lots to learn about the product. Lots of variables.
