MA HMO or PPO??

Thanks... I really am having a hard time ,aking up my mind to switch. Counting my PDP I am paying $4450 for my Med Supp. Wish we had a birthday rule in TN. I like choosing any provider I want to use, with no prior authorizations or referral requirements.

To be fair, I think recalling you were in the hospital 3x this year.. depending on MooP, you're likely still paying more.. with less freedom.

Keep that in mind

You can try a MAPD, then switch back during your Trial Right period and get any Med Supp GI. I was planning on doing that this year, but I went in the hospital right before the end of AEP last year and chickened out. I'll do it this year and cut my Med Supp premium in half.

I'm at $3,708 for Med Supp, PDP and DVH.

I had a client with Mutual Who had PDP with Humana

Humana called him and switched him to MA Plan, and he did not get it explained to him right he lost docs and didnt like the preauth and wanted to switch back

We did trial right and they gave him the newest lowest rate on med supp

I don't know where you are but where I am and much of TN UHC has a better plan very similar to Humana but better dental and Lower Max out of pocket and better network

Only the network is not better in every county

Yes, I have LBL and Louis has Equitable. They no longer issue new Med Supps.

I'm sure that holds true for MOFO, as they keep closing blocks.

Have you and Louis not look at other stable carriers ti move to ? United's been very stable . What about New Era . If I had health issues I'd not leave a med sup . But I think both you and Louis see how many people can't afford $300-$400 a month . Lbl was all the hoopla 2 plus yrs ago . There already gone ? What about Americo and Thrivent ? I was looking at United and Anthems quarterly earnings . They show 10 years of quarterly growth for med sups and mapd . Total med sup policys in force are about the same as 7 years about . Mapd is up huge . Total mapd policy count is 2-1 over med sups at both CO's .

Neither one of us could pass underwriting.

I was looking at Humana plans for 2023 in Tn . They look like mostly HMO's and there just ok . GA's Humana plans for smoking crazy hot for 2023 . They threw 5 kitchen sinks at the mkt .
