list the companies that an new independent agent with no book of business should look to get appointed with.

And what companies are "easier" to get appointed with?

and what companies are ideal to get appointed with, that someone should look into?

Are you asking about Life & Health or P&C?

If its Life & Health in what areas do you want to work?
My 403(b) business has a list of carriers
Targeting the Federal Market has another list
Life Insurance to Middle america at the Kitchen table
Worksite Life

And I'm sure you get the idea, yes there would be overlap in some of these lists but if you can tell us what you want to do we can point you in the right direction.

Congrats. What state are you in?
Progressive is fairly easy.
Citizens in Florida.
Other then that you will have a hard time with no book or experience. The best bet is to join a group or franchise. Good luck.
