Marketplace Snapshot

nearly 6.6 million consumers selected a plan or were automatically re-enrolled in the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM).

It must be that new math...last year Obama couldn't praise the 8 million that signed up enough....now for 2015 there are 6.6 million reenrolled/signed up. This means that much of the 8 million from last year disenrolled altogether since anyone currently enrolled would have been auto-reenrolled as of 12/15. That and no new enrollees have stepped up. No matter how you twist the numbers, this isn't something for Obama to brag about....

I was thinking the same thing, TimSip. If the 6.6 million is new enrollees and re-enrollees, it's nothing to brag about. According to a release I got from CMS they said specifically it was new & re-enrollee numbers. Also, how many of them went to Medicaid?

It's not like this is the first time they have missed the mark.

Only 6.7 million Americans were enrolled in Obamacare health insurance plans as of mid-October, not 7.1 million, the Obama administration admitted Thursday.
Health Secretary Sylvia Burwell acknowledged the error, calling it a mistake. The higher figure the White House reported earlier included people who enrolled in stand-alone dental plans.
