Edit: Sorry, it's not ART. It renews every 5 years.

Anyone know anything about this?

One of my senior clients got an advertisement in the mail, and it seems too good to be true. They're selling $50k in term to seniors all the way up to age 80 through the mail with only 2 health questions?

If it's legit, can agents write it?

It is the same stuff that Globe, Colonial Penn and AARP peddle.

Yes, it is insurance and is properly filed. Personally I think it is just taking advantage of people who won't read and don't know better. They are taking advantage of the Metlife name to sell increasing premium term and/or guaranteed issue whole life. Neither of which most people would want if they could get past the Metlife name.

Again JMO, if you dig in, Metlife is pretty dirty. They have settled a number of lawsuits about their practices. Demutualization, under-funded ULs as retirement, etc. But apparently lots of TV time, Snoopy and some blimps are enough to sweep it under the rug.

I doubt anyone can sell it, maybe career agents, but that isn't their target market.
