My Application for Licensing Was Denied

I do have two misdemeanors in my record.
I did apply last year for my insurance license (health and life) and passed the board exam.
But back than I was still under probation and the Dep.of insurance denied my license. Now my probations are all done and I am in the process to get my cases expunged.
Please advise me, is there any hope that I will ever get a Ca. Insurance license?
And if yes, please share with me what steps I can take to get my license.

call 916-322-3555, it's the number to the California State, DOI. They should be able to tell you why you were denied your license and what steps would be needed for them to grant you a license.

GOOD LUCK!

I'm not buying this.

If he had misd's that could be expunged, he'd have said he was in pretrial diversion, or pre-trial intervention, etc.

I've seen a fair amount of this.......some folks, and its a mystery to me why think this way but they do, believe once they've done the 90 in county that all is forgiven and they are both entitled to and will get records expunged, and that denial of same constitutes discrimination....perhaps they get this perspect from watching Rachel Maddow or Ed Schultz or that *** Laurence O'Donnell.

Actually, in CA, getting things expunged is pretty common place. And it would be post-trial, not pre-trial.

Wrong.

All pre-trial diversions carry forth stips that in lieu of a trial, guilt is not contested, but records are expunged upon completion of the diversionary program.

The point being there is no trial, nor is there an Alford plea.

Trial is in abeyance and charges are carried without prejudice so they can be presented at trial if the program isnt completed.

When it is completed, records are expunged.

This is typically done in nonviolent case, and usually with agreement of the victim.....usually, though I was a party to such a case (with workplace violence) where we disagreed with the prosecutor and the accused was still allowed to participate in the diversion.

Let's be fair here. All three of them are idiots.

Rick

Agreed.

These folks conveniently leave out the idea that the rich arent rich because the poor are poor, and the poor arent poor because the rich are rich.
