I just got my first batch of TM leads and some of the basics I know is of course follow the script and call when they jave saod to call them. I started calling them and some of them that I have been able to reach told me they don't remember talking to anyone about life insurance. I even mentioned their secret word and still they had no clue what I was talking about.

I'm not blaming the batch since it came from a reputable source. I'm blaming my inexperience since this is the first time I've worked on TM leads. Any advice? Ideas? Some of your own best practices? I still have to call some of the people that I haven't been able to reach.

I understand that. I bought TM leads on here
from a regular and lost my entire investment because the leads sucked.I am not taking the blame for the failed campaign.I also here
that the TM leads should be door knocked if no
response on the phone. Well if you want to take a road trip, go for it.I am going to make sure that
any marketing campaign is Rural for the prospects.Good Luck just keep contacting them
until you hear the word No And when you do,
say No?and let them give you a reason and try to work off of that and then ask for referrals!

I think its pretty much the consensus on here if you're in a saturated fe area then tm leads especially from an avatar are very low quality. If you're in the Midwest or even Kentucky they seem to do well.

I'd say I'm in a pretty saturated FE market and did over well over 50k in 3 months off of avatar leads.

That's why Baskins @ Robins has 31 flavors. Some people like chocolate and some like vanilla. What works for one agent might not work for another. Each agent must try different things and use what works for them. Its nice for new agents to get advice on here about what carriers to use but the only way to find out what type of prospecting works for each agent is to try it.Some agents like door knocking and others don't.Some like to make there own appts and others don't.Each agent must look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves "What lengths will I got to if I want to be successful".Will I work till 9 in the summer and knock 5 extra doors

When they didn't remember the call, I would say, "Yeah, you talked to Steve/Jane from my office yesterday. You said your fav hobby was cooking, RIGHT?" The emphasis has to be on RIGHT. 9 times out of 10 they would respond in the affirmative.

Then you just set the appointment like normal. "Great, well my job is to just deliver the information out to folks, to see what benefits or discounts you might be eligible for. I I just need to set aside a few minutes to drop that off. What time usually works better for you, mornings or afternoons?"

I will use that. My office works a lot on internet leads and I've gotten pretty good at those. The problem is I want to get good woth a few types of lead programs especially since I still consider myself a baby in this business. Thanks, Hoosier. I will do that today when I call the rest of the leads.
