Need a Referral for California Workers Comp

Looking for a referral for a client of mine (Other than State Fund) he is a licensed Tree Trimmer using codes 0106 tree pruning 0042 landscape 2710 stump grinding. Been in business with employees since 1998 with no WC claims.

How much payroll? There are a few carriers that will write tree trimmers but they have minimum premiums of $25k+. We just placed one large tree trimmer at a rate that was exactly 44% below SCIF.

Payroll for 2011 was 26,000 for tree pruning 14,000 for landscape
