New LTC Agent Needs Training in CA

I was suggested to contact Genworth for training.. next. does anyone know if NY LIfe or Lincoln for it's Moneyguard hybrid products provide training if you are captive with them?

Luke, LTC is not that hard. Download a specimen policy. Read it. Download illustration software. Play with Lincoln Moneyguard illustrations to get a feel for the moving parts. Even though Omaha isnt available in CA, play around with its software. It is user friendly. Take a look at a few consumer brochures. Study an underwriting guide. Visit a website or two. Mine is a good one. Long Term Care Insurance-Quotes, Ratings, Expert Advice - LTC Partner. You will be well versed in a weekend. There are only 3 moving parts, really: monthly benefit, benefit period, and inflation protection. Take your time. Put yourself in a consumer's shoes. You will be OK.

I'm just curious. Do you conduct most of your sales on the phone using an electronic application or faxing or are your LTC sales mostly face to face?

Phone; mail or fax application. Face to face if the client wants to drive to my office. 95% is by phone.
