Non Licensed Assistant

I suggest you call your state's OIC and simply ask them. It may vary from state to state. But yes, if you want them to quote for you, license them.

Yes, but I am in California. The thought of calling anyone in a state office makes me realize just how few hours there actually are in a day! Of course, that "on hold" music is pretty good.... :twitchy:

speaker phone. I have to do it all the time in WA and when they pick up, usually 15-30 later we talk.

The thing is most times, they can tell you what you need to know. Thus the speakerphone and doing something else while I wait.

Rich, In Ca, you should get them licensed if you want them to quote rates. We recently went through an audit and this was one of the areas they really hit in detail (who talks to clients and what do they talk about). I was grateful that we have almost everyone in the office licensed.

In a smaller operation, this is helpful in so many ways. In your case, your assistant would be able to take the internet lead and turn it into a real prospect for you.
