One Card System

No I could pay for it but I just thought why when I can buy
a calender and some index cards. I really just need a way to
track my prospecting. So far of that 45k about 12k has issued and paid. Some is still in uw about 11,000 of it.

20k was 2 cases both got declined.

One case was 12,000 in ap. The other was 8 in ap.

Still working with the 12k ap guy but trying to find another
direction. SPWL if possible he has about 40k in a iul policy.

You need to work with my friend here in TX who specializes in diabetics and other health problems. They do not get the declines, they know all the companies and what they accept.
edit, never mind, i see you work with business owners, this is mainly for FE.

Actually, you would be better suited for this, better than the one I had in mind.

I actually wouldn't mind diversifying into some niche markets such as that. Just need a plan of attack.

I thought it was a great idea, specializing in diabetics and folks with health problems. The problem is, they mainly do FE, if you are working with business owners, you probably write higher amounts. The key is, I guess, convincing somebody maybe to apply for a lower amount of insurance, or maybe just working the FE market with this stuff. Anyhow, I thought it was a great niche market when I first heard of it. After all, look at how many folks in America have health problems!! Quite a few, unfortunately.

Hilarious!!! So true.
:err::err::err::err::yes::yes::yes:

It would force that, if one used it. I was handed a $300 system for free, OCS, and I tossed it aside. Probably why that big mutual company did not like me!! ha ha { hopefully they got a bulk deal on those, because they handed each new agent that box of cards and calendars and such, and I never saw many use them, and they recruited heavily} anyway, OCD is what I have, Obsessive compulsive Disorder, and ADD. It most certainly does not force me to be organized, I have the opposite kind, it forces me to be messy and hoarde stuff. It does different things to different people. Little pieces of paper everywhere, I can't throw them away. Obsessed with them. My wife keeps threatening to throw them away. Rather than collecting clients and getting sales, I collect names and numbers, thousands of them, all over the house, hardly ever close them and make them clients. Strange, isn't it? Prospecting is never my problem, closing is.

To be blunt, there is so much written about OCS online that you don't need to ask 'how' in this forum.

Why not just buy one of Al Granum's books and read it and look for the principles and numbers behind OCS then decide if you want the pretty box and multi-color cards?

Whether you have the custom cards, box, and booklets isn't the point since its simply a form of databasing, which is a habit the vast majority of financial services people do not have.

I've used ACT! religiously for years, even paying for custom layouts and reports and the ROI is huge. Frank's system is fine. Notecards are fine. Spreadsheet is fine.

The big difference is if you use something to track your leads, clients, cases written - which most people don't do.

Well said.

As it's been mentioned on this site before, the essense of the OCS is the activity management it teaches through the book "Building a Financial Services Clientele" by Al Granum and Barry & Delia Alberstein.

Barry & Delia Alberstein have created an online CRM/activity management tool to become the new generation of tracking for the one card system. The tool is called The CAM Report, I started using it just this past month. their website is www.albersteinconsulting.com

Two statements from my early days I cannot get out of my head. Nearly twenty years ago a seasoned agent said, "What system works? They all work. If you work." At least 30 years ago, another sales person told me "Plan your work and work your plan." To this day, I think of those statements at least once a week.

Most agents fall into 2 polar opposite categories. Either they work themselves into circles without a clear plan or organization. Or else they plan forever and don't work it. A poster on this board has a signature line that says something like "planning aggressively never made money." I tend to be the planner and organizer. But the results come from working it.

Good post. I think I plan to one day ask all these thousands of names for money and a signature, but I plan all I like, it never gets done till I do it. My wife isn't going to do it for me. She isn't even licensed. She threatens to throw it all away. She probably should try it one day, get me really motivated to regain all I lost! Actually, she should box it all up, rent a storage unit, not tell me about the storage unit, throw it in there, tell me she threw it all away, look at me while I freak out!!
