Wow...that cold calling article really hit home!
I always thought that those who do it (either by phone or in person) are just naturally better at cold calling than the average person. I'm willing to bet that they were put off by it in the beginning just like I am!
100% right, what ruined me for cold calling was running appointment first.
After college in my mid 20's (Marine first..ooh rah) I got "tricked" into sales....I was killer in a house from to start but as I moved on a other things I found cold calling to be hard because i became a master "craver" that never learned to "hunt".
Let me tell you folks, if you can "hunt" you can eat....I can train any body to "close". Closing is WAY overrated opening is where the money is made but it is the least respected and most overlooked part of sales...remember you can't cut 'em up if you can't net 'em
