Problem with Calling Leads

Yea, nothing you can do with a lead that doesnt answer the phone but 2 things:

1. After waiting a few days try calling again, after calling 15 times with no answer throw the lead in the trash can or...

2. Drive to the house and DK them, if no answer again throw the lead in the trash can

You are done with that lead.

Funny how agents have different takes on things.. Tommy O says, "Never throw away a lead". Wait a couple of months and call them again. Guess it is what ever works for the individual agent. :err:

I've considered taking the hundreds of "not interested" leads I have in my data base, and having my appointment setter to call through them to see if the idea holds.

I'd bet I'd be able to get a few appointments that were originally against meeting.

I bet it would be no different returns than calling a cold calling list. Its really very simple . Buy 40-80 leads a week and let an appt setter get you 7-10 sits a day or buy 20-30 leads a week and set the easier appts yourself and dk the rest.

Them's fightin' words! He probably doesn't know you're packin'.;)

I'm sure he does ;)

I gave all of my old leads from the current county I'm working to my appointment setter. I'm not kidding, she set appointments with all the agent killers but I had previously set and presented to.

So the key here is if you're going to keep your old leads around, make sure you differentiate them from Leads that set appointments. Unless you're entering all your leads into an Excel database that's hard to do. I guess I'm glad that my appointment setter enters all my leads into an Excel database from now on LOL.

He may say that but I would be interested in how much FE he actually sells before taking that advice.

Any luck with the ones that didn't agree the first go-around to an appointment?

No not at all. Most were eithe too poor, dementia, crazy etc.

None of then were "it's just not the right timers."

They were agent killers.

It's an Internet lead, so most of the time the number is a cell. You can call, text, email, and door knock. Get off of the forum and try all 4 as many times as it takes.

It's like the agent that knocks very quietly on their front door because deep down he hopes they aren't home. If you really want to see these people, then do what it takes.

One of my early mentors would always say, "They gotta come home sometime!" Of course in the winter, with all the snowbirds we have in PA, that could be a long time.:twitchy:
