I'm sure some of you who run Part D comparisons for your clients have the occasional client who has to take the brand name Synthroid. I was recently made aware of a program named Synthroid Delivers (Discover The Synthroid Delivers Program). You can get a 90-day supply for $75. Downside of course is that it doesn't go toward meeting the deductible on a Part D plan. But for that person who takes a few generic meds and this one brand name, it can save them a couple of hundred dollars per year.

Good to know! There are a couple other brands/types that aren't on most plans formularies. One thing I found which made my client a bit happier was that Silver Script would pay a portion of the price of compounded thyroid meds for ingredients that are in their formulary.

I just checked one Canadian Pharmacy. 90 pills for $33

You can absolutely get it for less in Canada. I have clients who just won't do that no matter how many times I tell them they could save on a prescription from there. This is a US based alternative to paying $130-$150 for a 90-day supply.

I have a few that say they don't trust the Canada meds saying there are differences in the chemical makeup, not sure if true but they belive it
