Hi, I work for Metlife now. But I am considering to leave. ( This is my second year. They don't chage me any table fee yet. But I have to think about my future. The table cost is too high, also I don't think it worth so much ).

One freind suggest me to work for New York Life. He said that the table fee is very low. The pension is much better. And also I still can sell Metlife insurance some times.

I didn't make decision yet. I also consider to work independently. But I am not clear about the whole process to become an independent broker.

Currently, I have few potentional contracts ( totally $45,000 premium for WL) in hand.

A little bit about me: series 63, 65, 6, 7, life and health.

BTW, I live in New York.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

Thank you! If I don't work for Metlife in the future, can you tell me which General Agency I can work with to sell Metlife product? Because I recommendated Metlife WL to my current potential clients before, it will be easy for me to sell metlife to them. Thanks!

Other than being truly INDY MM and Guardian are very close to being INDY.

I am independent and can sell metlife. Our agency was appointed for P&C mainly but we have the life side as well.

What percentage can you get? For example, if the annual premium for whole life is $10,000, how much commission can you get as an independent broker?

That all depends on what kind of contract you have. Why write that case with MetLife? All three of the companies that have been mentioned are far better companies to place whole life insurance with (yes even New York Life).
