Signed With NYL....1st Month = Success

I had some bitter beer last night moon. Almost as bitter as you. LOL @ your life. To let a newbie get to you. bahahahahaaaa

You sound like the usual NYL agent...you make one nice sale to a friend or family member, then out the door you go in 3 months...Hopefully you don't end up like this

Hey moonlightandFAGeritas-----still in the business. Actually just put a 1M perm policy in force. 1500 CHECK-O....Tahoe this weekend.

I have already made council, I am shooting for EC. Not that any of you care..

Those big permanent policies a joy to find, aren't they? I made $21,000 commission on one way back in 1988..my second year in the business. It should have been more $$, but Prudential suddenly invented an artificial commission cap. In hindsight, being a captive agent had its benefits, but in return, the company could do what it wanted with you..and to you.

Hi SIM ANTIC,

I'm trying to understand why NY Life would be a better value over going indy or working for a BGA. I'm quite fresh out of school and I like the idea to be trained by a big player. It's good to hear a different perspective on captive. Yet, I've got the commission schedule from NY Life for BGA and it's not too bad. Could you PM me to describe your experience as a NYL producer?

Thanks!

Sim Antic seems to have left the building.
He usually drops in for a day or three to tell us how great he's doing, then he leaves the building. 3 or 4 weeks later he shows up again to tell us how great he's still doing and leaves the building again. Lather, rinse, repeat.
