Starting an agency in Texas - Help please?

Hey y'all!

I am so glad that I have found this site. It has been so helpful! I have one question that I cannot seem to find the answer to or have gotten different answers on.
I am in the process of trying to start an agency - I have been licensed for about 8 years now, but does the agency have to have a separate license itself?

Check with your state insurance commission. Chances are no, the business does not need a license but your license might need to be changed to DBA Jones Insurance
