No one is here except Senior people, so I'm posting here. ;)

If you were going on vacation and really just needed email and internet (maybe), no apps, etc, what would you buy? I'm tired of lugging my laptop everywhere. Ipad not an option because BCBSTX systems don't like it.

I have a Samsung Tab and a Microsoft Surface Pro. If I'm doing any work stuff, I only use the Pro. Having a great keyboard (soft keyboard so unlike a laptop and it's magnetic so you can just pull it off if you want to use it as a tablet) is key for email/web stuff.

I use the Tab for pool time: reading books, WSJ, video, and arguing w/ people on insurance-forums.

Asus T300 convertible tablet is what I use for work daily. Windows 10, great as a laptop, great as a tablet.

Its a hard keyboard (full keyboard) that is attached to the tablet magnetically, easily pulls off but also a very strong hold. I can hold it by the keyboard or by the screen and its sturdy and stays together. And it can sit in my lap like a normal laptop.

The tablet portion works very well on its own and is very responsive. The whole thing is super light, sturdy, and easy to use as either a laptop or tablet. It has "tablet mode" and "laptop mode" settings to make each experience customized.

My only complaint is the keyboard takes a separate charger than the tablet. But the charge lasts a very long time, I charge it maybe once a week.

One of the most underrated laptop tablets out there imo. Fantastic alternative to the surface pro. (there is a surface in my household that I use sometimes and I prefer the asus T300 hands down)

Personally, I hate tablets. For composing, browsing, etc the convenience of a keyboard is my preference.

I also prefer Chromebooks over Windows or IOS products.

Convertible laptops would be my suggestion. Amazon has an 11 inch Acer on sale for $225

Amazon product ASIN B086MBQKH2
My eyes need 1920 x 1080 resolution. I didn't see a flex 11 inch with HD display.

There are 14 inch convertibles for a little more. Acer and Asus offer good value.

This HP is a very good value. The Prime Day deal drops the price to $290
Amazon product ASIN B08YKBYP62

will the chrome book run Windows programs?

I should add that a keyboard is a must for me. Plus Microsoft Office because that's my email. Looking at Samsung or Surface 4. Adding Asus to the list. Thanks guys!

Hold on, let me grab my Samsung Tab...

LMAO. I had a samsung tab, think we still have it somewhere. It was actually pretty good for browsing the net.

Surface is a nice machine. The ones Ive used still feels like Im working on a tablet even when using it with a keyboard.

However, I have not tried the most recent line of Surface Tablets. So Im sure they are probably better than the last one I tried.

@kgmom219 add Lenovo to your list. Im not sure if they still have a detachable laptop/tablet, but I know they have flip style laptops. And Lenovos are great computers for business needs.
