I recently saw a Transamerica direct mail piece that says, "Signing up [for Med Supp] in advance of 65th birthday ensures a discounted rate with Transamerica."

Yes, they did not say, "your 65th . . ."

Is this supposed to mean you will get a "preferred" rate, like you would from anyone in open-enrollment, or is there an actual discount for signing up before age 65? Let's ignore the tobacco question issue in some states. Thanks
