True SS billing

Curious about feedback from seasoned agents that use carriers without true SS billing ~ Random example if your XYZ carrier without true SS billing is a much better fit for a client vs am am, Liberty, do you still pull the trigger without hesitation

I saw a carrier stat that indicated that policies on True SS billing were 30% more likely to stay on the books. I am not sure if this is true/correct or not. I personally find that it helps with persistency which is important these days. Agents have told me that True SS is becoming less important as some online banks allow customers to get "advances" on their SS payments.

There has been some other discussion here about that, maybe in the Senior Forum.

That happens with some of your brick and mortar local banks too.

I am not sure that "advances" is quite the right word because I don't believe the banks are paying out money they have not yet received from the government.

I think the financial institutions are receiving the money over the weekend to be sure funds are available at the financial institution on the government mandated pay date.

With improvements in the flow of electronic funds transfers, money is moving more quickly to some institutions than it used to, and in turn, some of the institutions receiving money more quickly are turning around and allowing their account holders to have their payment more quickly. Some are not.

I have never cared about SSB. Except for DE payers. I've used mostly non SSB carriers my whole career and my persistency with my top carriers is always over 90%.

I love that agents sell the overpriced carriers just for the SSB because it's like hunting a baited field for me.

If I were running an agency I would probably give a different answer. But I don't run an agency so I'll just tell you how it is.

Also, today even running SSB is not all that accurate either. Banks have always gotten the money from the government a few days early. It was always their hidden deal. But then some of the national venues like NetSpend, Chime, GreenDot, etc. started letting their customers have their money a couple days before payday. The people that use those kind of cards flocked to that. So other banks started following. Now many banks even advertise that you can paid early by having an account with them. I like it because it means less DE card. And those cards do have a routing and account number where DE does not. Anything getting people off DE is fine with me.

It still goes back to the sales process about your persistency. If you focus on what they need too much instead of on what they want you will always have persistency problems no matter the mode.

Please explain overvalued . Dont you sell sbli and Cincinnati equitable? You bad mouth Aflac , moo , cvs , liberty bankers . They're lower priced than the ones you write . Theres no more price busters unless they're in good health .

Do you mean overpriced when you say "overvalued"?

And if it hurts your feelings for me to say something bad about a company you will just have to deal with it. Nor have I never used the term "price buster" and never will. So get that pimp talk out of here unless you're a pimp!

I don't really understand what your whining about here. I'm not sure you do either. Maybe the sky is not falling today so you had to find something else?

There's nothing to explain. You love you some companies. I don't.

And you will never find a customer of mine that could have gotten a better price than the company I wrote them with. Unless it's a company not available to brokers. Even then I'm likely to send them to that company. I helped two people this week sign up for PM.

So you can be as disparaging as you want and try to find fault to prop up your company man attitude but you will fail in that endeavor too.

I'm used to character assassination from the pimps. So I can handle it. I'm a little surprised you want to be pimp like. But you do you!

I'm certainly no pimp as i don't recruit . I'm simply saying that most carriers are around the same price now . Many times am am smoker is super competitive and will take stuff like 3 inhalers as long as no copd . These carriers you despise are now competitive in many instances. If you don't like them that's fine . But you can say many of these are overpriced anymore compared to what's presently out there
