That's fine. Just surprised at your question, and response.

Perhaps I should not have been surprised. I worked on the carrier side for over 25 years and met a lot of agents with as much experience as I had but had no idea how insurance worked.

One agent even told me of a client who had a kid with CF. When I pressed for details (we were quoting the group) the agents response was I saw the kid last week and he looked healthy. I think he is cured.

FWIW I sell myself, and my expertise as well. When asked a specific question I provide them with a specific response, not generalities. I believe my clients are entitled to that.

Next time your car insurance is up for renewal, why not ask your agent why your rates went up if you did not file a claim during the last year.
