Using HealthSherpa

Looking for input on using HealthSherpa for this upcoming open enrollment. Have a few questions about using the platform:
  1. I work through a national FMO, so is there a way that I can easily assign my commissions to be paid through them?
  2. How much faster and easier is it to use their EDE channel? My current FMO's EDE channel is pretty ridiculous unless you have a single person without any issues, otherwise it takes you back to healthcare.gov and you have to complete their 'long' application
  3. Do the clients entered into their system become their clients or I am still in control of the client's account?
  4. Not really interested in their referral program, by turning that down does it make using the platform problematic?
  5. Lastly, how big of time saver it is really to complete an application through their system . . . a few minutes, several minutes, just trying to gauge the speediness of their platform.
If you guys know of any other pitfalls or perks, please share those as well. Thanks in advance.

As I'm in a non FFM state I did a whole bunch of 2 applications last year due to trying to figure out marketing.

The process was very easy and I learned a bunch about health insurance. Yes you do keep clients. I suggest you just give them a call to get your questions answered. Everytime I call there's never a long wait on hold.

Thanks for sharing that. I am most interested in anyone that has used the platform pretty consistently and what their experience has been. Sadly, when I phoned them directly, let's just say nothing was answered or accomplished; hence, my request from actual users. Thanks.

Yes, I've used sherpa for 10 years. They are best in biz. Easiest enrollment and quickest possible. Time saver. You get paid commission as normal by FMO. They are your clients. Referral programs are optional. Bonuses are avail too if write via their platform. You can use them as a platform to enroll, or as an FMO, or referral program

Excellent! That's what I needed to hear. Final question, have you had any issues with the AOR being changed without your knowledge? Thanks.

I'm looking into other enrollment options. Has anyone else experienced issues with Healthsherpa not being accurate on providers? How about Drugs? I've been burn three times with Dr's not being in network and HS saying that they were. I can see an E/O claim if I put them on a plan and later they can not switch. Anyone else having this problem?

Have you looked at AgentExpress and inshura as alternatives? Personally, don't have direct experience, but maybe someone in the forum may have.

No 3rd party vendor is reliable, only the direct carrier website, and that isn't even reliable. If unsure, leave it up to client to call doctors office directly.
