Does anyone have any recommendations for Website creation? All I am able to find are companies that charge a monthly fee. I would rather pay someone a set upfront amount to create the website.

Thank you in advance for any help

Companies that charge a monthly fee typically retain ownership of the content. Be cautious with any company that does not give you full ownership of all content and the domain.

I used to provide a service like that with my other business. However, I stopped providing website building services a couple of years ago and tightened up the services to provide more value.

However, we do still give a little bit of guidance on tools, software, and hosting we use to build our own TR King website, training sites, etc.

There are essentially four different elements of building your own website:
1. Buy the Domain Name and Keep in Registered.
2. Hire a Hosting Company
3. Either Build the Website Yourself or Hire Someone to do it for you
4. Maintain the website

Lots of the services out there will charge you a monthly fee to do all of this for you, but as has previously been noted you often do not really own the site and the end product.

The ideal thing to do is to buy and keep your own domain name. This way if properly done you will own the site yourself and all the content.Owning the domain name carriers a min yearly cost.

Having your own hosting company will cost you a medium amount of in annual cost. Do your research on who you use here.

If you hire someone to build the site, it most likely is just a one time fee. Lastly if a website is to be run correctly you will want an IT type person to provide monthly/annual support for this. This will involve patches, securities, minor flaws, and what WTF situations. Yes in theory you could do this yourself, but... you are likely to run into issues.

All in you can buy and maintain a domain for about $20 per year. Choose a hosting company for super low, but the optimal options are about maybe $250 per year. The website creation can range from $450 to several thousand [should be a one time fee.] Lastly the monthly IT support, depends on who you use, but perhaps $20 or so per month.

For insurance folks I have not gone into raters, either Life, P/C etc, or CRMs, chatbots, etc - you can add on all sorts of stuff if you wish.

Thank you everyone, this has been very helpful. I did buy a domain name, its registered and I have it hosted. I just need someone to build my website for me, I am looking for a few contacts for this.

I am looking to pay a flat fee and own the site like you mentioned. Does anyone have a contact for someone who does this?
