Medicare Supplement plus Stand Alone PDP definately works.
I'm not sure how WellCare could have a HMO in a County where they don't have a network hospital. CMS never would have approved that County for the service are. Maybe they lost the hospital after the fact. Who knows?
At any rate, if you match her with a MAPD that meets her needs, or a Med Sup plus a PDP that she can afford, you did your job.
